Senior Accountant (European MNC)
Our client is a well-established organization with a strong presence in its industry, known for its commitment to financial discipline and operational excellence. The company is seeking a technically strong and hands-on Senior Accountant to oversee core accounting functions and support financial reporting and compliance.
This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, while also providing supervision to a small accounting team. The position will partner closely with finance leadership and business stakeholders to support decision-making and continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee full set of accounts, ensuring timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local statutory requirements.
- Review and supervise the work of junior accountants, providing guidance and ensuring high-quality output.
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial records.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth audit and compliance processes.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to provide insights to management.
- Ensure compliance with Singapore regulatory requirements, including GST and corporate tax filings.
- Drive improvements in accounting processes, internal controls, and system efficiencies.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and financial decision-making.
- Assist in system implementations, automation projects, and finance transformation initiatives where applicable.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field CPA/CA or equivalent is preferred.
- 4-8 years of relevant experience, ideally with a Big 4 audit background followed by commercial experience.
- Prior experience supervising or mentoring a small team is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and Singapore financial reporting standards.
- Experience handling audits, statutory reporting, and tax compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., SAP) and Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Hands-on, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
