Job Summary
The Senior Accountant manages full sets of accounts for client portfolios, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and proper accounting records aligned with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and local tax laws.
Responsibilities
- Manage full sets of accounts including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial data
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements that comply with regulatory standards
- Prepare and submit GST returns in accordance with IRAS regulations to maintain tax compliance
- Assist in year-end closing processes, audit schedules, and tax computations to support financial accuracy and regulatory adherence
- Liaise effectively with clients, auditors, and regulatory authorities to facilitate smooth communication and compliance
- Deliver timely and accurate financial reports to support business decision-making
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and accounting records for audit readiness and transparency
- Identify and support process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accountancy, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 4-5 years of relevant accounting experience, with solid exposure to Singapore tax matters
- Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and GST regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB, and Microsoft Excel
