Senior Accountant / Assistant Finance Manager (Singapore)

Key Responsibilities

• Full Set of Accounts

Handle full set of accounts for theSingapore entity, including AR/AP, GL, bank reconciliation, andmonth-end/year-end closing.

• Compliance & Tax Filing

Ensure compliance with Singapore FinancialReporting Standards (SFRS) and regulatory requirements from Inland RevenueAuthority of Singapore (IRAS), including GST filing and corporate tax matters.

• Financial Processes & Controls

Assist in establishing and improvingfinancial processes and internal controls to enhance operational efficiency andaccuracy.

• Audit & External Liaison

Coordinate with external auditors and taxagents for annual audit and statutory reporting.

• Head Office Reporting

Liaise with the China headquarters onfinancial reporting, consolidation support, and management reporting.

• Bank & External Stakeholders

Maintain communication with banks,auditors, and other relevant institutions.

• Cross-border Tax Support

Support the company in cross-border tax compliance and structuring, including understanding and applying Double Taxation Agreements (DTA) between Singapore and other jurisdictions (especially China, Southeast Asia, and the United States). Assist in planning tax-efficient profit repatriation (e.g., dividends) while ensuring compliance with economic substance requirements.

Requirements

• Experience

Minimum 3-5 yearsof full set accounting experience in Singapore

Familiar with Singapore businessenvironment and company regulations

Industry Background (Preferred)

Engineering / construction / project-basedcompanies

Trading or import-export businesses

• Qualifications

Bachelor's degreein Accounting, Finance, or related field

Professional certifications preferred:

Institute of Singapore CharteredAccountants (ISCA)

Association of Chartered CertifiedAccountants (ACCA)

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

• Language Skills

Fluent in English (spoken and written) - mandatory

Mandarin is a plus (to liaise with ChinaHQ)

• Technical Skills

Good knowledge of Singapore tax regulations(Corporate Tax & GST)

Familiar with CPF and payroll-relatedregulations

Proficient in accounting systems (Xero,QuickBooks, SAP)

• Nice to Have

Experience in cross-border finance (China-Singapore)

Prior experience handling external auditsindependently

Experience in process improvement or systemimplementation
