Job Summary

This Senior Accountant or Assistant Finance Manager will collaborate closely with the CFO and leadership teams to manage full-set accounting operations, deliver management reporting, and ensure compliance across multiple entities within the group.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-set day-to-day accounting operations for assigned entities to ensure accurate financial records
  • Prepare financial statements to support audit processes and ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Develop and deliver management reports to provide insights for business decision-making
  • Review month-end and year-end closing documents prepared by junior accounting staff to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, corporate secretaries, and regulatory authorities to maintain regulatory compliance
  • Lead the annual budgeting process to support financial planning and resource allocation
  • Perform statutory and regulatory reporting in compliance with SGX and MAS requirements
  • Prepare GST reports and corporate tax filings to meet statutory obligations
  • Support the CFO with ad-hoc projects to drive financial initiatives and improvements

Required competencies and certifications

  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., CA Singapore, ACCA, CPA)
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in accounting, audit, or financial reporting functions
  • Experience with audit exposure to SGX-listed companies and/or MAS-regulated entities such as capital markets services license holders, fund management companies, or financial institutions
  • Proficiency in preparing or reviewing financial statements in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS)

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Familiarity with statutory and regulatory reporting requirements under SGX and MAS frameworks
  • Strong analytical skills demonstrated by resolving accounting issues and supporting financial decision-making
  • Effective communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Goal Seek, and financial analysis
  • Familiarity with Xero accounting system
