Our client is a Singapore-headquartered engineering and project solutions group with operations across Singapore and the Middle East. The Group also holds investment properties within its portfolio and continues to expand its regional presence.
They are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant / Assistant Finance Manager to support finance operations, regional reporting and group consolidation activities. The Role
You will be reporting to Deputy Finance Director and involved in the following key responsibilities:
Manage the full sets of accounts for the Singapore headquarters and oversee accounting matters relating to two branches in the UAE.
Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and management reports within stipulated reporting timelines.
Review accounting transactions and provide guidance to the UAE finance team to ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and reporting requirements.
Perform monthly consolidation of the Singapore and UAE entities using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Excel-based consolidation models.
Prepare annual budgets, periodic forecasts and monthly cash flow projections for management review.
Monitor project costs, revenue recognition and profitability, working closely with project managers and site personnel.
Handle quarterly GST submissions and ensure compliance with local statutory requirements.
Prepare year-end financial statements and supporting schedules.
Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretaries and regulatory authorities.
Support reporting and accounting matters relating to the Group's investment property portfolio.
Identify opportunities to streamline finance processes and strengthen internal controls.
Undertake ad-hoc projects and assignments as required by management.
Your Profile
Degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent professional qualification.
Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
Strong hands-on experience in full sets of accounts and month-end financial reporting.
Experience in group consolidation and multi-entity reporting is highly preferred.
Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (formerly Navision) would be advantageous.
Prior exposure to engineering, EPC, construction, project-based, industrial or related industries will be an advantage.
Good understanding of SFRS, GST and statutory reporting requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including preparation of reporting and consolidation schedules.
Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with overseas finance teams.
