We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Job Coach to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in developing the skills and confidence needed for successful employment. You will work closely with students, employers, and educators to provide individualized coaching and workplace support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support SEN students in preparing for and transitioning into the workplace
- Provide group coaching in job readiness skills (e.g., communication, time management, workplace behavior)
- Assist students during job placements, offering on-site guidance where needed
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and employers to create supportive work environments
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback and reports
- Help identify suitable job opportunities aligned with students strengths and interests
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with Special Educational Needs or disabilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, social work, or related fields are an advantage
Preferred Skills
- Experience in job coaching, vocational training, or career support
- Understanding of inclusive employment practices
- Ability to adapt coaching strategies to individual needs
