Security Project Specialist

About the Role

TEKsystems is seeking a technically inclined Security Project Specialist/Engineer to join our Global Security Technology Team at a global tech company. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates with an IT background and/or exposure to physical security systems (video surveillance / access control) to gain hands-on experience supporting large-scale global infrastructure programs at one of the world's leading tech companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Run system checks and validations on completed security system projects (e.g., configuration, system naming).
• Use internal tools to detect errors and inconsistencies; triage and either:
• Resolve directly
• Or escalate/root cause with senior engineers
• Support system upgrades and new builds, including validation and reporting.
• Review failure reports and follow structured processes to validate issues and contribute to resolution.
• Assist with commissioning and ongoing system support for access control and video management systems.
• Participate in QA checks and documentation through the Technology Operations Center.
• Collaborate with engineers across global programs to support design, deployment, maintenance, and tool-building initiatives.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Recent graduate with an academic background in Information Technology or a related field
• Exposure to physical security technologies such as access control systems or video management systems (eg: CCTVs)
• Interest in the technical support
• Detail-oriented and capable of running structured system checks and validations
• Familiarity with project-based work or system commissioning preferred
• Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn in a complex, enterprise-scale environment
