Leveraging AlphaSense's AI Interviewer technology, CCR is able to conduct and scale structured expert interviews continuously, expanding coverage while maintaining consistency and analytical rigor. Covering hundreds of companies across major sectors, CCR provides investors and corporate users with channel research that offers a continuous view of demand trends, competitive dynamics, and market conditions as they develop.

About the Role

As the Sector Lead for TMT - APAC on the Channel & Customer Research (CCR) team, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining AlphaSense's channel check coverage across TMT companies based in APAC, with a particular focus on the semiconductors and hardware ecosystem. Reporting to the Head of Channel & Customer Research, you will oversee the development and execution of CCR projects, ensuring channel check questionnaires, expert sourcebases, and research outputs meet the firm's standards for quality, consistency, and end-user value. While the primary focus of the role will be semiconductors and hardware within the broader TMT sector, the position may also support select adjacent TMT coverage where relevant channel ecosystems intersect.

Based in Singapore, you will combine deep sector expertise with research leadership to guide a team of analysts responsible for conducting structured channel checks across a diverse set of APAC-based TMT companies and value chains. Leveraging AlphaSense's AI interviewer technology, you will help design and scale channel check workflows that generate consistent, trackable insights from distributors, resellers, contract manufacturers, and other industry participants across the region. Your responsibilities will include project setup, questionnaire development, expert source base guidance, and research quality oversight. Acting as the connective layer between research strategy and day-to-day execution, you will help expand coverage while maintaining a strong understanding of semiconductor supply chains, hardware manufacturing dynamics, technology adoption trends, and key market debates across the APAC region.

You will also serve as a key stakeholder in refining channel check frameworks, improving workflows, and partnering with cross-functional teams to strengthen CCR's APAC TMT coverage. Singapore's position as a regional hub for semiconductor design, distribution, and technology investment makes it an ideal base for building deep expert networks across the broader APAC ecosystem, including key markets such as Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, and Southeast Asia. In doing so, you will help ensure consistent delivery of high-quality channel intelligence across a rapidly evolving and strategically critical set of industries.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain the CCR coverage roadmap for TMT companies in APAC, with a primary focus on semiconductors and hardware, translating sector priorities into a structured pipeline of channel check projects aligned with investor demand, client engagement trends, and evolving supply chain and technology adoption dynamics across the region.

• Lead the development of high-quality channel check frameworks, including expert source base strategy and structured questionnaires that generate consistent, trackable insights across quarters and across companies under coverage, with particular depth across semiconductor value chains - spanning chip design, foundry, OSAT, memory, and hardware OEMs.

• Serve as the primary domain expert for TMT within APAC, maintaining a strong understanding of key companies, value chains, and investment debates across the semiconductors and hardware ecosystem.

• Collaborate closely with Operations Managers and analysts responsible for project execution, providing guidance on expert targeting, feasibility, and project structure to ensure channel checks generate actionable and differentiated insights for end users across investor and corporate audiences.

• Continuously identify new companies, subsectors, and channel check opportunities within the broader APAC TMT ecosystem, expanding CCR coverage by mapping value chains and identifying expert networks - including channel partners, component distributors, contract manufacturers, and industry consultants - capable of supporting ongoing research.

Who You Are

• You have 5-8 years of experience in equity research, market intelligence, or a related analytical role, with meaningful exposure to semiconductors, hardware, or adjacent TMT sectors - ideally with coverage of APAC markets.

• You bring strong domain knowledge of the semiconductor and hardware industries, including familiarity with key APAC-based companies, chip design and manufacturing ecosystems, component distribution channels, and the core investment debates investors monitor across the sector - from wafer demand cycles to AI-driven hardware buildouts.

• You have experience designing primary research frameworks and questionnaires that translate deep industry knowledge into structured, repeatable insights suitable for channel checks and ongoing sector coverage.

• You are highly analytical and intellectually curious, capable of quickly developing expertise across new companies, subsectors, and technology value chains while identifying where channel checks can produce differentiated information that moves the needle for investors and corporate users.

• You are comfortable working cross-functionally with research leadership, operations teams, and analysts to ensure projects are well-structured, feasible, and executed to a consistently high standard - including across multiple time zones within the APAC region.
