Position: Assistant Manager / Section Manager - Warehouse Operations (Tuas)
Role summary: On‑site warehouse manager responsible for day‑to‑day supervision of warehousing operations at the company's primary Tuas facility. Lead a team of warehouse assistants and customer‑service staff to ensure safe, compliant, efficient handling and storage of B2B bio/nutrition and FMCG cargo, while meeting customer KPIs and inventory accuracy targets.
Title (Assistant Manager or Section Manager) and remuneration will be aligned to experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise warehouse assistants (team size typically 10-20 for Section Manager) across two Tuas warehouses, report to Department Manager.
Plan and oversee daily warehouse operations, inbound/outbound flows and storage of bulky/raw‑material cargo (e.g., milk powder, nutrition products).
Maintain housekeeping, proper storage conditions and adherence to safety standards and SOPs.
Drive inventory control: prepare inventory reports, participate in stock counts and ensure accuracy of records.
Attend customer KPI meetings and act as primary on‑site client contact to resolve operational issues.
Ensure activities comply with relevant certification or handling standards (GDP, GMP, FSSC, Halal where applicable).
Coach, develop and manage performance of direct reports escalate operational issues to Department Manager.
Perform ad‑hoc duties as assigned, including coordination with head office when required.
Reporting & Team
Reports to Department Manager.
Manages a section of 10-20 headcount (Section Manager) or a smaller supervisory team (Assistant Manager) two warehouses in Tuas operate with 50 HC each across the site.
Working hours typically 08:00-17:45 shuttle service from Tuas interchange provided.
Key Requirements:
5-8+ years warehousing and supervisory experience in a 3PL environment minimum 8 years preferred for Section Manager consideration.
Proven experience in B2B warehouse operations handling bulky cargo and raw materials (not e‑commerce).
Familiarity with handling bio/nutrition, milk powder and FMCG product flows.
Forklift license and hands‑on operational capability advantageous.
Experience with regulated or certified supply chains (medical/pharma/food standards) is a plus.
Strong team leadership, communication and customer‑facing skills.
Immediate or short‑notice availability preferred.
Preferred Background:
Experience managing multi‑site warehouse operations, large headcounts and direct client relationships in a 3PL setting.
Knowledge of inventory systems and stock‑count procedures ability to drive KPI improvements.
