Section Head

The Section Head oversees the daily operations of the manufacturing section, ensuring efficient production, quality control, and adherence to safety standards. This role involves managing a team, optimizing processes, and collaborating with various departments to meet production goals and improve overall efficiency.

Role and Responsibilities

Leadership and Management:

• Supervise and lead the manufacturing team, including training, performance evaluations, and development.

• Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork and continuous improvement.

Production Oversight:

• Oversee the production process, ensuring it runs smoothly, efficiently, and meets quality standards.

• Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and company targets.

• Monitor production metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), addressing any issues promptly.

Quality Control:

• Ensure all products meet quality specifications and standards.

• Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures.

• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement.

Process Improvement:

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.

• Collaborate with engineering and other departments to optimize manufacturing processes and workflows.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

• Conduct safety training and regular safety audits to maintain a safe working environment.

• Investigate and resolve any safety incidents or near-misses.

Resource Management:

• Manage the allocation and utilization of resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel.

• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and supplies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control standards, and safety regulations.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
