Position: Secondary Mathematics Teacher
Division: Secondary School
Report To: Secondary School Principal and Vice Principal
Core responsibilities
- Instruction and curriculum: Plan and deliver lessons that meet MYP and DP curriculum standards and are suitable for all abilities. Develop creative and engaging learning materials and activities.
- Assessment and feedback: Monitor, assess, and record student progress, providing regular and constructive feedback. Grade assignments, quizzes, and exams, and maintain accurate academic records.
- Classroom management: Create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive learning environment. Manage student behavior and encourage a positive approach to study.
- Collaboration and communication: Work with other teachers to coordinate lesson plans and share best practices. Meet with parents to discuss student progress and collaborate with school staff.
- Professional development: Stay current with curriculum changes and participate in professional development sessions. Reflect on and improve teaching
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mathematics
- A teaching certificate/credential
- Successful teaching experience
- Excellent organizational skills
- Positive communication skills
- Capacity to work collaboratively as the member of a team
EXPERIENCE
Training and experience in the International Baccalaureate MYP and DP preferred
