Job Description

. Lead the development and delivery of the Mathematics curriculum, aligning with the Cambridge International Curriculum and school's ethos.

. Teach Mathematics across age range from year 6 through to IGCSE, A Level/IB diploma, inspiring curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in students.

. Prepare students for the IGCSE Mathematics and Additional Mathematics, for first examination in May/June 2027, delivering a rigorous two-year course.

. Develop and implement lesson plans, learning materials and assessments that cater to varying levels of language proficiency.

. Regularly provide formative and summative assessments to monitor students progress.

. Collaborate with Junior School Mathematics teachers to ensure curriculum continuity and progression from Year 5 to Year 7.

. Provide guidance and support as a Form Tutor, promoting the personal and social development of students.

. Build positive relationships with parents, keeping them informed of their child's progress and addressing any concerns.

. Use innovative teaching methods and incorporate technology to enhance the learning experience.

. Foster an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that caters to diverse learning needs, including EAL students.

. Contribute to the extracurricular programme by leading Mathematics-related clubs, societies, or competitions.

. Engage in professional development and mentor colleagues to promote best practices in Mathematics education.
