Seat Design- Product Engineer

Need candidates for Location – Nagoya, Japan 

• Should serve as the lead technical expert for complete seat design programs at the customer site. 
• Coordinate all engineering activities related to complete seat design, including styling integration, packaging, ergonomics, safety, comfort and manufacturing feasibility. 
• Drive technical discussions and decisions with the customer's engineering teams, styling and manufacturing departments. 
• Guide and mentor a team of design and development engineers (offshore) to ensure adherence to technical specifications, timelines, and quality standards. 
• Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and technical problem-solving sessions. 
• Ensure designs comply with relevant automotive regulations (e.g., ECE, FMVSS) and internal customer standards. 
• Oversee the creation and release of 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and technical documentation. 
• Proactively identify customer needs, challenges, and opportunities. 
• Present technical solutions, project updates, and progress reports to the customer. 
• Effectively communicate customer requirements and feedback to the internal engineering teams. 
• Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. 
• Contribute to the creation and tracking of project timelines and milestones 
• Identify potential roadblocks and proactively develop mitigation strategies 
• Ensure deliverables meet customer quality standards and are delivered on time 
• Support the integration of seat designs into the overall vehicle architecture.
• Experience: 6 to 15 yrs 
• Qualification - BE /ME – Mechanical/Automotive 
• JLPT : N2 or N3
