Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead our SEA region sales organisation and drive substantial revenue growth across Southeast Asian markets. This leadership role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies, building and managing high-performing sales teams, and establishing Great Place to Work® as the premier workplace certification and culture transformation partner across SEA countries. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of scaling sales operations in diverse, multicultural markets while building strategic partnerships with Fortune 500 companies, government entities, and emerging businesses throughout the region.
This role requires exceptional leadership capabilities to manage sales teams across multiple countries, deep understanding of SEA business cultures and regulatory environments, and the ability to drive both direct sales and channel partner relationships. The Sales Director will work closely with Market Leads to align regional strategies with corporate objectives while adapting to local market needs and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Business Development
. Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategy for SEA region, including market entry plans for emerging markets and expansion strategies for established territories
. Lead business development initiatives to secure enterprise-level partnerships and multi-year contracts with organisations of 1,000+ employees
. Build and maintain strategic relationships with C-level executives, government officials, and industry leaders across SEA countries
. Drive regional revenue growth and year-over-year growth rates
. Identify and capitalise on emerging market opportunities, industry trends, and competitive advantages specific to SEA business environments
. Establish and manage channel partner relationships, including consulting firms, HR service providers, and technology platforms
Team Leadership & Management
. Build, lead, and scale a distributed sales team across multiple SEA countries
. Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop top-tier sales talent with deep understanding of local markets and cultural nuances
. Establish performance management systems, quota structures, and incentive programs that drive results while maintaining team motivation
. Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and professional development to ensure team members achieve and exceed individual quotas
. Foster collaborative culture across geographically distributed teams while respecting local business practices and cultural differences
. Implement sales training programs, best practice sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives across the region
Sales Operations & Performance Management
. Oversee entire sales cycle from lead generation through contract execution, ensuring consistent processes and quality standards
. Manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes involving HR executives, C-suite decision makers, and procurement teams
. Optimise sales processes, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency, conversion rates, and deal velocity across the region
. Maintain detailed sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance analytics using Hubspot CRM and advanced reporting tools
. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop region-specific campaigns, content, and lead generation strategies
. Ensure accurate sales documentation, contract management, and compliance with local legal and regulatory requirements
. Drive customer retention and expansion through strategic account management and upselling initiatives
Experience Requirements
. Sales Leadership Experience: 8+ years of B2B sales experience with minimum 5 years in sales leadership roles managing teams of 5+ people
. Regional Expertise: Demonstrated success in SEA markets with deep understanding of Southeast Asian business cultures, practices, and regulatory environments
. Industry Experience: SaaS, HR technology, consulting, or professional services industry experience strongly preferred
. Revenue Track Record: Proven ability to consistently achieve and exceed revenue targets of $5M+ annually in previous roles
. Enterprise Sales: Experience selling to Fortune 500 companies and managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with 6+ month timelines
. Language Skills: Fluency in English required additional SEA languages (Bahasa Indonesia, Thai, Vietnamese, etc.) highly preferred

. Technology Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Hubspot CRM, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales technology platforms
