Scrum Master

Job Description
This role requires an experienced Scrum Master / IT Project Manager with a strong track record of delivering Agile projects and managing cross-functional squads. The role is responsible for end-to-end delivery of initiatives within agreed scope, timeline, and budget. The ideal candidate brings deep exposure to private banking or wealth management domains, is familiar with digital transformation trends, and excels in Agile ways of working across distributed teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Project Initiation & Planning
. Analyse and detail project ideas, assessing feasibility, cost-effectiveness, risks, and success factors in partnership with business and IT stakeholders.
. Develop comprehensive project proposals, including objectives, milestones, schedules, resources, cost estimates, and project structure.
. Drive project proposals through formal demand governance processes.
. Set up appropriate project management processes, track performance, and provide clear status reporting to senior stakeholders.
. Initiate timely escalations where required.

Agile Delivery & Execution
. Develop detailed project plans and work breakdown structures (subprojects, work packages, etc.).
. Establish a structured project organisation, identifying key stakeholders and managing the project team.
. Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including PI Planning, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
. Lead squads in SIT/UAT checkpoints, BRD walkthroughs, and solution review discussions.
. Manage scope, time, budget, risks, and issues on an operational basis.
. Assess change impacts, validate assumptions, develop mitigation plans, and align solutions with governance stakeholders.
. Oversee rollout and go-live activities, ensuring smooth handover to Operations.
. Implement project-related quality assurance measures and ensure delivery artefacts meet acceptance criteria.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
. Work with cross-functional teams to conceptualize customer journeys, design features, and prioritize backlogs.
. Process complex information quickly, break down problems into core elements, and navigate ambiguity independently.
. Present insights, updates, and decisions confidently to senior leadership and multi-disciplinary stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management

. Represent IT and Scrum leadership in discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
. Proactively mitigate risks and maintain transparent communication plans.
. Present project progress, challenges, and recommended solutions to stakeholders.
. Share key insights with both IT and business counterparts.
. Lead knowledge transfer sessions for newly implemented modules or functionalities.

Regulatory & Risk Responsibilities

. Demonstrate ethical behaviour, integrity, diligence, and adherence to fair dealing principles.
. Uphold standards for conflict-of-interest management, continuous professional development, and compliance with applicable regulations.
. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to assess regulatory implications of digital solutions.
. Promote a culture of appropriate values, ethical conduct, and risk awareness across project teams.

Requirements

. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
. 7-10 years of IT experience in Project Management and Business Analysis across Hybrid/Agile projects.
. Proven experience successfully delivering major projects within time, scope, and quality expectations.
. Strong senior stakeholder management experience, including steering committee engagements.
. Experience managing project financials (forecast vs. actual).
. Knowledge of banking technology trends is preferred.
. Strong familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodology, and digital delivery frameworks.
. Domain knowledge in Wealth Management or Private Banking strongly preferred.
. Understanding of online trading, digital channels, business processes, and process redesign.
. Experience in product discovery and delivery, with the ability to identify user needs and translate them into impactful features.
. Strong decision-making skills with experience performing trade-offs objectively.
. Analytical and problem-solving capability to challenge business or technical requirements.
. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including technical documentation.
. Highly motivated, self-driven, and adaptable able to work independently and collaboratively.
. Experience defining a vision, strategy, and full product lifecycle management for digital solutions.
