Working Hours & Special Schedule
- Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM (Inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
- Fridays: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (Inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
- Note: Service is strictly not required during all MOE school holidays (March, June, September, and year-end holidays), as well as scheduled school closures like Youth Day, the day after National Day, and Teachers Day.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and prepare scientific apparatus, equipment, and chemical materials for daily student experiments.
- Provide active operational support to teachers during lesson preparation and clean up post-experiments.
- Manage the housekeeping, cleanliness, maintenance, and safety compliance of all science laboratories and rooms.
- Perform data entry, maintain accurate inventory tracking logs, and update digital storage systems.
- Coordinate directly with external vendors or contractors for the servicing and repair of lab facilities.
- Assist with the administrative procurement process of lab instruments and consumables.
- Monitor laboratory usage timetables and assist with invigilating science practical assessments.
- Assist in school research projects and perform any other ad-hoc operational tasks assigned by supervisors.
Physical Requirements
- Must be comfortable climbing stairs as the laboratories are situated between levels 2 and 4, and the school campus layout does not have lift access.
Job Requirements
- Qualification: Completed Secondary school education.
- Language: Good spoken and written English communication skills to handle queries and coordinate safely.
- Technical Skills: Prior experience utilizing MS Outlook/Excel or general administrative tracking systems is preferred.
- Characteristics: Possesses strong organizational abilities, a keen eye for safety details, and a collaborative team attitude.
