Job Title: Science Laboratory Assistant
Contract Period
- 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026
Working Hours
Personnel Will Be Deployed At The Following Hours
- Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 5:00pm, inclusive of 1-hour lunch break
- Fridays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 1-hour lunch break
- The candidate may be required to work beyond the above hours on certain days, such as during school events.
Scope of Services
The Science Laboratory Assistant shall be required to perform the following duties:
- Perform reception duties
- Handle telephone calls and walk-in enquiries/requests
- Assist in student-related matters
- Compile data, surveys, and statistics
- Handle incoming and outgoing mails
- Perform filing and typing of documents
- Carry out other ad-hoc administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
The personnel shall minimally possess the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
- Preferably possess NITEC, GCE O Level Certificate, or ESS Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 or equivalent
- Preferably have at least 1 year of relevant working experience in school administration or a similar environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good customer service skills with proper telephone etiquette
- A good team player with a high level of initiative
- Familiar with Microsoft Office applications and comfortable using IT systems
- Able to interact appropriately with and handle young children
