Science Laboratory Assistant (Primary School)

Working Hours

• Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays: 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM (Inclusive of a 30-minute lunch break)
• Wednesdays: 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM (Inclusive of a 30-minute lunch break)
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide active operational support to teachers in teaching and learning environments.
• Assist in the meticulous preparation of apparatus, equipment, and reagents needed for laboratory lessons.
• Maintain the general cleanliness and upkeep of all lab equipment, tools, and the workplace.
• Perform simple administrative data entry and general clerical office work as requested by the department.
• Assist with basic inventory management and ad-hoc operational tasks assigned by supervisors.

Job Requirements

• Education: Minimum GCE O Level certificate or equivalent.
• Experience: At least 3 years of relevant working experience. Prior experience working within a local Primary School environment is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Competent in utilizing basic Microsoft Office applications.
• Certification: Being certified or trained in basic First Aid is an added advantage.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills with a preferred background in dealing smoothly with different stakeholders.
