Responsibilities
- Set up science laboratories for lessons, practical activities, and examinations to ensure readiness and safety
- Prepare and procure materials, apparatus, and consumables aligned with lesson requirements to support teaching activities
- Coordinate laboratory schedules with teachers and classes to optimize resource use and lesson flow
- Distribute teaching resources and materials to science teachers promptly to facilitate lesson preparation
- Maintain and update laboratory inventory, equipment, and teaching-resource records to ensure accurate stock and availability
- Assist teachers during practical lessons by providing hands-on support and enforcing laboratory safety protocols
- Support science programmes, assessments, enrichment activities, Science Fair, and environmental club events to enhance student engagement
- Assist with maintenance of the school's aquaponics system, gardens, and science-related plants to support environmental learning
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum GCE N Level / O Level qualification or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience working in a science laboratory environment
- Good knowledge of laboratory equipment, materials, and basic safety procedures
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience working in a school science laboratory environment (preferred to enhance familiarity with educational settings)
