Overall Responsibilities:

• Preparing and maintaining science laboratories and equipment.
• Carrying out safety checks on equipment, e.g. Bunsen tubing etc
• Carry out risk assessments for technical activities
• Disposing of waste materials
• Collecting apparatus and chemicals from storage
• Preparing experiments, necessary solutions, setting up apparatus and equipment for demonstrations and practical lessons as requested by teaching staff
• Liaising with staff over use of equipment and stock
• Taking stock of chemicals, consumables, stationery, books and breakable items and advise replacement needs
• Purchase of sundries from local supermarkets
• Other duties as assigned by reporting manager

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Applied Chemistry are preferred. Candidates with relevant experience are welcome to apply.
• Minimum two (2) year experience in international school environment preferably handling science laboratory functions.
• Must have strong understanding, knowledge and experience of IGCSE and IB DP curriculum.
• Able to start immediate/ within short notice.
