Job Summary
Support a primary school by promoting positive student behaviour, managing student cases, and assisting in school events. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to foster a supportive learning environment for students with behavioural challenges.
Responsibilities
- Promote positive student behaviour and manage student conduct within the school environment to maintain a safe and supportive atmosphere
- Perform canteen, detention, traffic duties, and conduct patrols within the school and surrounding areas to ensure student safety and compliance
- Manage students on in-house suspension by enforcing school rules and engaging them in meaningful tasks to support behavioural improvement
- Support classes with students exhibiting behavioural challenges by providing structured assistance to teachers and staff
- Assist Student Development Key Personnel in case management by conducting fact-finding, engaging with students and parents, coordinating follow-ups, and monitoring student progress
- Provide support during school events to ensure smooth operations and student engagement
- Complete administrative tasks assigned by the Principal, Vice-Principal, and Student Development Key Personnel to support school operations
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma from a recognised institution
- Registration with the Ministry of Education
- Minimum of 2 years experience managing students at the primary or lower secondary level
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills demonstrated through effective collaboration with Year Heads, teachers, counsellors, and other stakeholders
- Genuine empathy and a positive disposition towards supporting students with social-emotional and behavioural needs
Other Information
Employment Type: Contract (6 months)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm, school terms only (school holidays excluded)
