School of Sports and Health – Project Staff (VisionKinetics – 6D (Single-Camera): Estimation of Joint Forces and Moments in Human Gait)
School of Sports and Health, whose vision is to be the leading educator in the area of sports, health, invites applicants to join its motivated and passionate team.
We are looking for an individual to join our funded project. The Project Staff will join our faculty to assist in the research analysis of the big data collected associated with human performance.
The Project Staff should possess strong interpersonal and project administrative skills. He/she will work closely with other project team members.
[What you will be working on]
The Project Staff will contribute and support in the following areas:
- Assist in the design of programmes associated with data analysis and machine learning
- Assist the project team in research data collection and administration
- Contribute to administration functions e.g. report preparation
- Manage ad-hoc research activities and assignments
Successful candidate will be placed on a 12-month contract.
[What we are looking for]
- Preferably with Bio mechanic, Gait movement knowledge and experience in managing research projects
- Strong analytical skills involving data science, machine learning and computer vision associated with human performance
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with management and employees
- Sound planning and organisation skills, with a strong sense of responsibility for completing assigned duties on time
- Hands-on and operational with the ability to work with people at all levels
- Proficient in digital design cum data-science applications
