Job Description

Working Hour

  • Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays: 0730hrs to 1700hrs
  • Wednesdays: 0800hrs to 1730hrs
  • Fridays: 0730hrs to 1630hrs

Key Roles

  1. Investigative & Case Support

    • Assist the Student Management (SM) team in conducting preliminary investigations and fact-finding interviews.

    • Obtain statements from students and witnesses, compile evidence, and prepare structured incident reports for relevant Key Personnel (KPs).

    • Communicate findings and updates to parents, staff, and students to ensure closure of cases.

  2. Maintaining Strong Discipline Tone

    • Conduct regular walkabouts around the school (e.g., stairwells, free-play areas) to uphold discipline standards.

    • Station at the canteen during recess/breaks to manage student behaviour (e.g., addressing queue-cutting).

  3. Detention & Restorative Follow-Up

    • Work with the SM team to ensure students attend detention sessions.

    • Supervise detention sessions

    • Engage students meaningfully during detention to promote reflection and behavioural improvement.

    • Maintain attendance and behavioural records during detention.

    • Track and follow up with students who default on detention.

  4. In-House Suspension Support

    • Assist the SM team in managing students who are removed from class or placed on internal suspension.

    • Support learning continuity during suspension by liaising with Year Heads.

  5. Reception Duties (Primarily During MOE School Holidays - Mar, Jun, Sep, Nov & Dec)

    • Manage the school's front counter services.

    • Provide general administrative support to the admin office.

    • Perform data entry and other duties as assigned by the school.

Skills & Experience

  • Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a uniformed service, educational setting (e.g., Police, Prison Service, School Discipline Team, or equivalent), with involvement in youth-related case investigation and restorative practices (e.g., behavioural support).

  • Competencies:

    • Calm and composed when managing challenging student situations.

    • Firm yet respectful approach when working with students.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, teachers, and parents effectively.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, email correspondence, data entry, and Google collaborative tools.
