Job Description

Job Scope

(a) Managing Discipline-Related Processes

  • Support the implementation of school discipline and student management processes.
  • Assist in managing daily student discipline matters, including referrals, follow-up, and intervention.
  • Provide supervision and mentoring for students requiring behavioural support or closer monitoring.
  • Support restorative conversations and developmental interventions for student misconduct cases.

(b) Pull-Out / Chill-Out / In-House Suspension Management and student Intervention

  • Manage the school's designated pull-out / chill-out location for students requiring temporary removal from class e.g. In-house suspension.
  • Support students in de-escalating and regaining emotional regulation before reintegration into lessons.
  • Maintain records of student usage, presenting issues, and intervention outcomes.
  • Work with the school team to conduct mentoring, coaching, and check-in sessions for identified students.
  • Facilitate small-group / individual intervention sessions for students with behavioural, relational, or emotional regulation challenges.
  • Build positive developmental relationships with at-risk / vulnerable students.
  • Support students in developing self-management, conflict resolution, and social-emotional competencies.

(c) De-escalation Support

  • Respond to calls for assistance from teachers in managing escalated student behaviours.
  • Assist in safely removing students from class where necessary and escorting them to the designated intervention space.

(d) Fact-Finding / Investigation Support

  • Assist CMT in conducting fact-finding and investigations for student management, bullying, and disciplinary-related incidents.
  • Gather statements and accounts from students involved in incidents.
  • Support collation of evidence, documentation, and timeline reconstruction for discipline case reviews.
  • Provide other manpower support related to investigation and fact-finding processes as directed by the school.

(e) Updating and Managing Discipline Database / Records

  • Working with Year head team to maintain and update discipline records in school-designated systems/databases.
  • Document student interventions, incidents, investigation records, and follow-up actions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Prepare summaries / reports on discipline cases, student behaviour trends, and intervention outcomes as required.
  • Support the maintenance of proper filing and documentation standards for student management records.

(f) Working with case management Teams

  • Work closely with Case management Team (CMT), School Counsellor (SC), Special Educational Needs Officer (SENO), and school leaders.
  • Provide observations, case updates, and professional feedback to support school-led case discussions and intervention reviews.
  • Participate in case review / support meetings where required by the school.

(g) Other Duties

Assist in supervision duties related to student management where required.

Support school events / programmes related to student development and discipline.

Undertake other student management-related duties as assigned by the school.

Requirements

  • Minimally possess 1 year of relevant working experience in youth work, social work, counselling, educational support, behavioural support, student management, social services, mentoring, or related fields.
  • Prior experience in a school setting, youth mentoring, behavioural intervention, case support, or investigation-related work will be an advantage.
  • Experience supporting adolescents with behavioural, emotional, attendance, or discipline-related needs is preferred.

Competencies / Skill

  • Have the ability to respond quickly and appropriately in discipline enforcement duties
  • Be conversant in Microsoft Office applications (particularly MS Word) with good IT literacy
  • Have the ability to engage stakeholders through effective communication, active listening, and basic counselling techniques when managing sensitive issues.
  • Have the ability to support fact-finding and investigation processes professionally and objectively.


Contract Period: From 01 Aug 2026 to 30 June 2027

Working Arrangement

  • Mondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 5:00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
  • Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
  • Non-Service Period: December 2026

Salary: $3,000 to $3,200 per month
