School Bookshop Assistant (West Coast)

School Bookshop Assistant required at West Coast. Working hours: Mon - Fri, 8.30am - 3.30pm.

We welcome candidates without experience, on-the-job training will be provided. Housewife is welcome.

Job scope:
- Sell textbooks and stationery to children, teachers and parents.

Requirement:
- Able to do simple mental calculations, count and give correct change.

- Able to pick books according to titles, then pack into bags (around 5kg). When we serve customers, we need to lift the bags from floor and place onto the table during year-end sale of textbooks. Most people who are healthy can perform this task. This role is not meant for those who are physically frail or have long term wrist / back pains.

- Must be healthy- able to work everyday during school term and slightly longer hours during year- end sale of textbooks (November to December - also 5 days work week).

- There will be part- timers hired during the year end to help with the sale of books. We will train the part-timers but the bookshop assistant will need to guide the part-timers when necessary.

- Provide good customer service to children, teachers and parents.

- Must be willing to learn and can work independently after training.
