Job Title: Scaffold Erector and Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:
- Scaffold Erection and Dismantling:
Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding structures according to specifications.
Ensure scaffolding is erected, added to, altered, or dismantled in accordance with the approved design.
Supervise scaffolders during erection and dismantling processes. - Supervision and Management:
Lead, coordinate, and supervise scaffolders and other workers to ensure tasks are completed on time.
Assign daily tasks to scaffolders and monitor progress.
Ensure all workers are equipped with proper safety equipment at all times. - Safety and Compliance:
Ensure all scaffolding activities comply with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks.
Inspect scaffolding structures to ensure they are safe, secure, and meet industry standards. - Inspection and Certification:
Conduct daily checks to ensure scaffold integrity, stability, and compliance with safety standards.
Issue and maintain scaffold tags and certification to indicate safety status.
Identify, report, and oversee the correction of scaffold defects or issues. - Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare and submit daily reports on scaffold progress, materials used, and issues encountered.
Document any accidents, near-misses, or unsafe practices and recommend corrective actions.
Track scaffold materials, tools, and equipment to ensure availability and proper use. - Training and Mentorship:
Train scaffolders on proper techniques, best practices, and safety measures.
Provide guidance on new equipment, materials, or changes to regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Valid Scaffolding Erector Certificate/CSOC/WAH/MWAH/BCSS
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
- Completion of the BCA construction site supervisor course.
- Good knowledge of local safety regulations and standards.
- Ability to understand and speak English.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the job.
