Provide on-site supervision and coordination of daily surface-supplied and hyperbaric/saturation diving operations.
Ensure diving activities, including underwater cutting, welding, inspection and TBM cutterhead maintenance, are carried out safely in accordance with approved Dive Plans and applicable requirements.
Maintain effective communication with the dive team and monitor diving depth, bottom time, breathing gas supply and decompression requirements.
Conduct pre-dive checks and ensure the readiness and safe operation of diving plant, helmets, umbilicals and hyperbaric chamber systems.
Maintain accurate dive logs, incident reports and toolbox meeting records.
Coordinate with the Project, Safety and relevant site teams to ensure diving activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
Support the implementation of risk assessments, emergency response procedures and safe work practices for diving operations.
Job Requirements
Relevant ADCI or IMCA certification/qualification for diving supervision, such as ADCI Bell/Saturation Dive Supervisor, ADCI Air Dive Supervisor or equivalent IMCA-recognised certification, where applicable to the scope of work.
Valid commercial diver medical fitness certification issued by a suitably qualified / accredited hyperbaric medical practitioner, as required for the role.
Minimum 15 years of relevant commercial diving experience, with proven experience in a diving supervisory role.
Relevant experience in heavy civil infrastructure, tunnelling, marine or offshore projects will be an advantage.
Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in air/gas decompression procedures, emergency oxygen administration and diving equipment maintenance.
Experience with TBM cutterhead intervention, underwater inspection, NDT or ultrasonic thickness gauging will be an advantage.
Strong safety awareness, communication, teamwork and supervisory skills.
