Satellite Systems Mechanical Engineer

In This Role, You Will

  • Perform structural and thermal analysis of modules, satellite systems and subsystems
  • Work with subcontractors to manufacture designed components and assemblies
  • Work with team members to perform mechanical assembly and integration of modules, satellite systems and subsystems
  • Perform environmental testing, including structural and thermal qualification, and provide support for EMI/EMC tests and RF performance testing
  • Conduct R&D on mechanical and thermal design, materials, manufacturing techniques and novel deployable structures

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Proficient in CAD and 3D modelling tools
  • Experience with FEM analysis tools to perform structural and thermal analysis
  • Experience with design optimization would be advantageous
  • Knowledge in satellite design, space environment requirements would be advantageous
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with attention to details
