Job Objectives
The Inventory Controller plays a crucial role in our supply chain and warehouse operations. He/She is responsible to ensure that our inventory is accurate, cost effective and physically available to meet business demands at all times by executing rigorous cycle counts, performing root-cause data analysis, and managing system adjustments in strict adherence to Satair Operating Procedures.
Inventory Management & Reporting
- Execute comprehensive inventory checks and cycle counts according to planned schedules to ensure target metrics are met.
- Perform accurate inventory adjustments and swiftly resolve any system queries or discrepancies.
- Responsible for overall facility inventory accuracy.
- Generate and present comprehensive monthly inventory reports for management review.
- Establish and maintain inventory dashboard with up to date inventory status
- Troubleshoot and conduct deep-dive investigations into missing inventory and related customer complaints and proactively share findings and propose short and long term solutions to team and management.
- Monitor daily inventory movements from receipts to issues, transfers and adjustments
Audits, Investigations & Quality Assurance
- Ensure strict adherence to all documented Company Quality System Procedures across all operational duties.
- Act as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for all internal and external inventory audits.
Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Analyze inventory trends to recommend solutions, influencing stakeholders to implement preventative measures against missing inventory and recurring complaints.
- Collaborate proactively with cross-functional teams to support system and process enhancements, driving improved Quality performance within the Warehouse.
- Provide targeted guidance and actionable feedback to the warehouse teams based on inventory analysis to proactively minimize errors during goods receipt and putaway, pick & pack and shipping processes.
Secondary Responsibilities
Operational Support & Warehouse Optimization
- Provide flexible, hands-on operational support across other warehouse functions (e.g. picking, packing, or receiving) during peak volume periods to ensure business continuity.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement by actively educating floor staff on how their daily actions directly impact overall inventory accuracy.
Health, Safety, & Continuous Improvement (5S)
- Support and maintain 5S workplace organization methodology (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to ensure a clean, efficient, and safe warehouse environment.
- Proactively identify and report any health, safety, or security hazards encountered during daily inventory walkthroughs.
Ad-Hoc Projects
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide operational feedback during system upgrades, migrations, or the implementation of new supply chain technologies.
- Support ad-hoc logistics and supply chain projects, performing other related duties as assigned by the warehouse management team.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
- 3-5 years of proven experience in inventory control or warehouse related roles
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Experience in ERP system, preferably SAP
