Job Summary
We are seeking a Junior SAP System & Database Administrator to join our client's project team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration, HANA database management, and system monitoring. Job Role and Responsibilities
- Provide SAP Basis administration support across development, quality assurance, and production environments.
- Perform SAP HANA database monitoring, tuning, and backup/recovery management.
- Assist in system installations, upgrades, migrations, and patch applications for SAP systems.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability of SAP landscapes.
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
- Support users and functional teams with system-related requests and incident resolutions.
- Maintain detailed system documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in regular system health checks and implement recommended improvements.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration.
- Working knowledge of SAP HANA architecture and database management.
- Familiar with SAP landscape management, client copy, transport management, and system refresh procedures.
- Basic understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems, networking, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure) is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Singapore Citizens only (requirement due to project eligibility).
Nice to Have:
- Experience with S/4HANA environments.
- Knowledge of Solution Manager (SolMan) monitoring and administration.
- Basic scripting knowledge for system automation (e.g., Shell, Python).
- Familiarity with SAP Cloud Platform or SAP BTP.
