Job Description

Summary

We're looking for a Senior Data Design Lead who is responsible for defining, governing, and delivering the end-to-end data design and migration strategy for SAP SuccessFactors implementations, with a strong focus on mapping and transforming SAP ECC HCM data into the SuccessFactors data model. You'll ensure data accuracy, consistency, compliance, and business alignment across all HR domains including Employee Central, Talent, and Payroll integrations.

The role operates as a critical bridge between HR business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical migration teams.

What will you do

Own Data Mapping Processes

  • Lead end-to-end mapping of data objects from SAP ECC to SAP SuccessFactors, ensuring data integrity, compatibility, and optimal design.

Data Migration Leadership

  • Develop and execute detailed migration strategies, data validation routines, and reconciliation processes for successful implementation.
  • Oversees data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and load (ETL) activities.
  • Ensure accurate historical and master data migration.
  • Define reconciliation and sign-off processes with HR and Payroll stakeholders.

Stakeholder & Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with HR, IT, Payroll, and Compliance teams to capture and validate data requirements, resolve mapping challenges, and align solutions to business goals.
  • Translate business requirements into technical data specifications.
  • Lead data design workshops and migration governance forums.

Team & Technical Guidance

  • Provide direction to data migration and design teams, resolving complex issues and driving continuous improvement.

Quality Assurance

  • Leverage best practices in data governance, cleansing, transformation, and testing to achieve reliable, high-quality outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements e.g., PDPA
  • Implement data quality metrics and controls.
  • Own data-related risk management and issue resolution.

Documentation:

  • Create clear, comprehensive mapping documents, migration plans, and transformation specifications for audit and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

Domain Expertise

  • 8+ years of SAP HCM / SuccessFactors experience.
  • Proven experience in SAP SuccessFactors data model design and data migration projects, with strong hands-on expertise in mapping SAP ECC HR modules to SuccessFactors Employee Central or other SF modules.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP ECC HR data structures (PA, OM, Payroll, Time Management, etc.) and SuccessFactors configuration.
  • Experience in complex HR transformation projects and working within large multi-functional teams.

Technical Skills

  • Familiar with relevant migration and ETL tools and techniques (e.g., SAP Migration Cockpit, Integration Center, Boomi, SAP Data Services).
  • Familiarity with SAP CPI and SuccessFactors APIs

Leadership & Communication

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Able to lead by example, influence positively, and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for clear reporting and documentation
