Own end-to-end SAP solution architecture across SAP S/4HANA RISE and SuccessFactors, ensuring alignment with Certis target operating model, enterprise architecture standards, and long-term digital roadmap rather than a technical re-implementation of current SAP ECC.
Translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and compliant SAP solutions, leveraging SAP best practices while balancing functional fit, extensibility, controls, and reporting requirements.
Act as the architectural authority to challenge, validate, and approve System Integrator (SI) designs and proposals, ensuring solutions address true business capabilities and outcomes rather than convenience-driven standard configurations.
Drive a Clean Core strategy, maximising standardisation and fit-to-standard adoption; identify functional gaps and define appropriate extensibility options using in-app extensibility and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
Establish and govern architectural design decisions, maintaining a structured decision log capturing options considered, decisions made, rationale, deviations from standards, and downstream impacts; embed this within overall programme governance.
Define the enterprise reporting and analytics architecture, ensuring SAP data structures, master data, and transactional models support central data platforms, regulatory reporting, and management insights.
Review and govern data migration strategy, including data scope definition, data quality rules, validation controls, reconciliation processes, and exception handling to ensure business readiness at cutover.
Define and govern integration architecture and approach of SAP SuccessFactors with S/4 HANA RISE, Workforce Rostering Solutions and other 3rd party systems ensuring secure, resilient and scalable integrations aligned with Certis Technology Architecture Governance Framework.
Partner with business and technology stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, ensuring architectural decisions balance business value, risk, cost, and long-term sustainability.
Qualifications
10+ years of SAP experience, with the last 4 years in SAP S/4HANA & SuccessFactors implementations in complex enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of SAP Activate methodology, fit-to-standard approach, and clean core principles.
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture governance, risk, controls, and regulatory considerations in complex organisations.
Solid understanding of SAP integration patterns and tools (e.g. SAP CPI / Integration Suite) and SAP Fiori configuration and extensibility.
Proven ability to govern System Integrators and influence senior stakeholders through clear architectural guidance and decision-making.
SAP or enterprise architecture certifications (e.g. S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, BTP, TOGAF) preferred.
