Job Purpose
- To provide enhancement implementation and support in the analysis, design and development, maintenance on SAP modules such as MM/QM/WM(LE), ABAP application area and integration to non-SAP systems.
- To provide guidance and solution expertise to support the functional and technical design/change by preparing the functional specifications, design and technical documents, and/or change request documents for approval.
- To provide solution to the Business Units and business requirements including effort estimation (configuration, workflow, interface, report, data mapping), change impact analysis and ensuring technical integrity of the delivered solution.
- To perform system development and programming.
Responsibilities
The SAP MM Techno-Functional Specialist duties and responsibilities are as listed below. This list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.
- Understand and study the user requirements, perform feasibility study and propose sound solution, create functional specification (business blueprint) and/or program specification.
- Perform system development work based on the specification. Conduct quality check, ABAP Code Review, quality testing and fulfil the tasks based on the specification before requesting for user acceptance test. Preparation of Functional, Design and Technical Specs, UAT test cases, cutover activities.
- Follow the agreed timeline set by the team leader and ensure no delay of assignment.
- Troubleshoot system problems with ECC MM/QM/WM(LE) and integration with other SAP modules or non-SAP systems, user operations support and ensure that user requirements are met.
- Involve in Project implementation, and follow the SDLC documentation policy and be involved and responsible for all types of system documentation.
- Carry out configuration of MM/QM for new setup.
- Work with vendor or project manager on new integration with MM/QM
- Give application technical support for month-end/ year-end closing cycles and internal/external audits
- Work closely with vendors and other team members to troubleshoot complex/interface issues and document solutions.
- Manage system incident tickets/service requests to ensure SLA compliance and customer satisfaction
- Conduct root cause analysis, contribute to knowledge base, and provide recommendations for continuous improvements to workflow, process and technology
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant files
- At least 8 years of work experience in MM/QM modules as Techno-Functional with minimally 2 implementation experience
- Experience working in SAP ECC HANA on Cloud
- Knowledge with Integration with other modules such as FI, PM and posses strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge with Integration with non-SAP systems using PI, and experience in SAP UI5/Fiori
- Experience in preparation of Functional Specs, Design Specs, Technical Specs, UAT Test cases, cutover activities related to MM/QM
- Experience in implementing & supporting interfaces from/to non-SAAP systems
- Experience in BAPI, RFC, Idoc, SAP Script, Smart-forms, User Exits, BADI, ALV report, BDC, LSMW, Class, Enhancement, calling of APIs and Dialog programming
- Knowledge of other platforms such as Ariba is an advantage
Skills
Technical skills include:
- Strong knowledge in and experience in SAP ABAP, ODATA, FIORI and Hana covering working experience in SAP modules like SD, MM, WM(LE), PP
- Skills set in OOO, Webdynpro, ABAP Forms
- Knowledge in interfaces through PI from third party systms like Maximo, Ariba Systems
- Skills set in development tools like Data Dictionary Objects, Multilevel Interactive/ALV reports, ALVs in Dialogue programming, LSMW, BDC, BAPIs, Adobe forms/ Smart forms/ SAP Scripts
- Skills set in ALE/IDOCS, Workflow, WSDL and REST API
- Skills set in developing RFCs, Interfaces (SAP system to other systems), conversion routines, creating and processing batch input using BDC session and Call Transaction method
- Skills set in handling design of technical security including table, report, program and interface security for the production environment
- Preparation of knowledge transfer documents
