SAP MGD Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP MDG Consultant to design, configure, and deploy Master Data Governance solutions on SAP S/4HANA. The consultant will be responsible for the end-to-end MDG solution across one or more master data domains, working closely with client stakeholders to establish effective governance processes, data models, and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP MDG activities across Design, Build, Test and Deploy phases.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into effective SAP MDG solutions.
• Configure and implement SAP MDG Central Governance on S/4HANA.
• Work across relevant master data domains including:
• Material – MDG-M
• Business Partner – MDG-BP
• Customer / Supplier – MDG-C/S
• Finance – MDG-F
• Perform MDG data modelling using standard and custom data models.
• Configure Change Request (CR) types, workflows and approval processes.
• Design and configure MDG process models based on business requirements.
• Conduct client-facing workshops, requirements gathering and solution design discussions.
• Support testing, defect resolution, deployment and post-go-live activities.
• Work independently while managing stakeholders across business and technical teams.
• Ensure master data governance processes deliver consistent, accurate and high-quality enterprise master data.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of SAP MDG experience.
• At least 2 full-cycle SAP MDG implementation projects.
• Strong hands-on experience implementing and configuring SAP MDG on S/4HANA.
• Strong knowledge of:
• SAP MDG Data Modelling
• Change Request Configuration
• Process Modelling
• Workflow Configuration
• MDG Central Governance
• Experience in one or more MDG domains such as Material, Business Partner, Customer, Supplier or Finance.
• Proven experience across requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing and deployment.
• Ability to independently lead client-facing workshops and design discussions.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred

• Experience working on large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programmes.
• Experience handling multiple MDG domains.
• Strong understanding of enterprise master data governance and data quality processes.
• SAP MDG certification will be an advantage.
