Role Overview
Lead design, configuration, and deployment of SAP Master Data Governance on S/4HANA.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and solution design for SAP MDG on S/4HANA
- Author functional specs, design documents, test scripts, and cutover/data migration plans
- Design MDG governance frameworks for BP, Customer, Vendor, Material, Finance domains
- Lead functional workstream across S/4HANA implementations, rollouts, and transformation programs
- Facilitate workshops on fit-gap assessment, data standardization, and governance strategy
- Collaborate with FICO, SD, MM, PP, QM, EWM and ABAP teams on integrations and RICEFW enhancements
- Support data migration, SIT/UAT testing, cutover, and post go-live activities
Technical Skills
- Configure MDG data models, UI modelling, entity types, hierarchies, governance scope
- Integrate MDG with S/4HANA, SAP BTP, Data Intelligence, AI Core, APIs, IDocs, third-party systems
- Configure BRF+ rules, workflows (rule-based/USMD), change request types, approval steps
- Set up data replication via DRF, ALE/IDoc, SOA services (Coupa, Concur, Ariba integration a plus)
- Define data quality rules, validations, derivations, duplicate checks
- Design role structures (requestor, specialist, approver, steward) with SoD alignment
- Exposure to Fiori, embedded analytics, RPA, ML, and predictive analytics for MDG automation
- Expertise in migration cockpit and S/4HANA data migration objects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 8+ years SAP experience, including 5+ years with S/4HANA
- Minimum 2 end-to-end implementations (4+ years total), at least 1 on S/4HANA
- 5+ years team lead experience, managed 3+ team members
- Experience with projects spanning 20+ company codes/plants
