Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP SD / IS-Retail Consultant to join our enterprise transformation team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will act as the functional subject matter expert for our end-to-end Order-to-Cash (OTC) and omnichannel retail processes. Crucially, you must have completed at least one full-lifecycle implementation of SAP S/4HANA Retail (or Fashion/Vertical Business), moving from blueprinting/discovery through to go-live and hypercare.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Architecture & Design: Lead requirement-gathering workshops with retail business stakeholders. Translate complex retail sales, omnichannel, and distribution requirements into robust, scalable SAP S/4HANA solutions.
- Configuration & Implementation: End-to-end functional configuration of SAP SD and IS-Retail modules, ensuring seamless integration of Article Master Data, Site Master, Pricing/Promotions, and Listing/Assortment Management.
- S/4HANA Optimization: Leverage S/4HANA capabilities (such as localized business partners, real-time inventory management, aMTP, and Fiori applications) to streamline retail processes.
- Integration Management: Own the integration points between SD/Retail and other modules (MM, FICO, EWM) as well as external Point of Sale (POS) inbound/outbound systems, e-commerce platforms, and 3PL logisitics.
- Technical Liaison: Author clear, detailed Functional Specifications (FSDs) for custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and workflows (RICEFW). Collaborate closely with ABAP and BTP developers.
- Testing & Deployment: Lead unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and support user acceptance testing (UAT). Manage data migration activities specific to retail structures.
- Change Management: Conduct key-user training and drive system adoption across retail business units.
Requirements & Qualifications
Technical & Functional Core:
- Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of functional SAP experience, with at least 3 years specifically focused on SAP IS-Retail.
- S/4HANA Mandate: Proven involvement in at least 1 full-lifecycle SAP S/4HANA Retail implementation (Brownfield migration or Greenfield). Pure support experience will not be considered.
- SD Expertise: Deep knowledge of standard SD functionalities: Order Management, Pricing Conditions, Billing/Invoicing, Shipping/Delivery, and Credit Management.
- IS-Retail Expertise: Mastery of Retail-specific processes including Article Master configuration, Merchandise Categories, Assortment & Listing, Promotions & Bonus Buys, and POS Inbound/Outbound processing.
Soft Skills & Location Context:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a performance-driven can-do attitude.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable presenting to business heads and C-level executives.
- Must be based in or legally authorized to work in Singapore (adhering to Ministry of Manpower guidelines).
Preferred (Nice-to-Haves):
- Official SAP S/4HANA Sales or IS-Retail certification.
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori UX deployment and customized retail apps.
- Experience with SAP CAR (Customer Activity Repository) or SAP BTP.
