Job Description

This role is responsible for optimising and maintaining the SAP HCM environment, cleaning up legacy HR data and workflows, and driving the development of new HR technology tools to improve HR efficiency and data visibility across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP HCM System Optimisation & Governance

• Serve as the in-house functional expert for SAP HCM (on-prem).

• Review and clean up legacy configurations, workflows, and unused modules within the SAP HCM landscape.

• Identify system inefficiencies, redundant processes, and data inconsistencies and propose improvements.

• Ensure data integrity, standardisation, and governance across employee master data and HR modules.

• Work with IT to stabilise and optimise the SAP HCM system architecture.

2. HR Digital Transformation

• Drive the modernisation of HR systems and processes through digitalisation initiatives.

• Identify opportunities to automate manual HR processes, including:

• onboarding workflows

• employee lifecycle processes

• leave management

• payroll data interfaces

• performance management

• Lead or support HRIS transformation projects, including potential integrations with:

• SAP HCM

• Power BI dashboards

• HR analytics platforms

• digital HR tools.

3. HR Systems & Tool Development

• Develop and implement new HR technology tools to improve HR operations and analytics capabilities.

• Work with HR teams to build internal tools and dashboards, such as:

• HR analytics dashboards

• compensation and salary review tools

• manpower planning dashboards

• HR KPI reporting systems.

• Collaborate with IT and vendors to implement new HR applications or modules where required.

4. HR Data Management & Reporting

• Design and implement standardised HR data structures and reporting frameworks.

• Build HR analytics capabilities to support strategic workforce planning.

• Ensure accurate and timely reporting for management decision-making.

• Support development of Power BI / reporting dashboards for HR and senior management.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Act as the bridge between HR and IT teams for HR systems initiatives.

• Work closely with regional HR teams to standardise HR processes and system usage.

• Provide technical guidance to HR users on best practices for HR systems.

6. Continuous Improvement

• Stay updated on HR technology trends and SAP HCM best practices.

• Identify opportunities to introduce new HR technology solutions to improve productivity and employee experience.

• Support the development of HR digital roadmaps and HRIS strategy.

Requirements:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience as an HCM Functional Consultant
  • Past experience in the hands-on implementation of SAP HCM
