Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP Finance AR Lead Consultant to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions with a focus on Accounts Receivable (AR) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes. This role will drive finance transformation initiatives, working closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and efficient SAP solutions.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP FI-AR, SAP S/4HANA implementations, and leading large-scale finance transformation programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP FI Accounts Receivable (FI-AR) solutions within SAP S/4HANA environments.

  • Drive end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) process design, including customer invoicing, billing, collections, dispute management, and credit management.

  • Analyse business requirements and translate them into functional solution designs and system configurations.

  • Conduct business workshops, process mapping sessions, and functional design reviews with key stakeholders.

  • Ensure SAP solutions comply with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal governance requirements.

  • Identify opportunities to automate AR processes and improve operational efficiency through SAP capabilities and industry best practices.

  • Lead SAP S/4HANA implementation, rollout, migration, and finance transformation initiatives.

  • Collaborate with SAP FI, SD, MM, technical, integration, and project teams to deliver end-to-end business solutions.

  • Support data migration, system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), cutover planning, and post-go-live hypercare activities.

  • Prepare and review functional specifications for Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms (RICEF) developments.

  • Provide functional leadership, mentor project team members, and support knowledge transfer activities.

  • Drive issue resolution, risk management, and continuous process improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 10 years of SAP consulting experience, with at least 5 years specialising in SAP S/4HANA Finance.

  • Strong hands-on experience configuring and supporting SAP FI Accounts Receivable (FI-AR).

  • Extensive knowledge of Order-to-Cash (O2C) business processes, including billing, invoicing, collections, customer credit management, and dispute management.

  • Experience with SAP FSCM modules, including Credit Management, Collections Management, and Dispute Management.

  • Experience using SAP Fiori applications for Accounts Receivable operations and monitoring.

  • Knowledge of cash application automation and intelligent matching solutions.

  • Experience with SAP RISE and cloud-based SAP deployment models.

  • Proven experience delivering at least three end-to-end SAP implementations, including a minimum of two SAP S/4HANA implementation projects.

  • Experience working across complex enterprise environments supporting more than 20 company codes and/or plants.

  • Strong functional design, business process mapping, integration, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with SAP Asset Accounting (AA).

  • Knowledge of SAP Flexible Real Estate Management (REFX).

  • Experience with SAP Fund Management (FM).

  • Experience with SAP Grant Management (GM).

  • Knowledge of SAP Central Finance.

  • Experience supporting Shared Services or Global Business Services (GBS) operating models.

Preferred Certifications

  • SAP FI Certification.

  • SAP S/4HANA Finance Certification.

  • Additional SAP certifications related to Finance or SAP S/4HANA are advantageous.
