SAP Consultant

Key Responsibilities

. Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems and supporting components.
. Execute daily operations including monitoring, patching, health checks, and upgrades.
. Manage SAP transport requests, system refresh activities, and environment provisioning.
. Perform backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures for SAP systems.
. Administer SAP user accounts, roles, profiles, and authorizations.
. Implement and enforce SAP security and audit compliance requirements.
. Monitor and respond to incidents and service requests in accordance with ITIL processes.
. Proactively monitor SAP performance and availability.
. Perform kernel, database, and SAP parameter tuning.
. Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and optimize system performance.
. Provide L3 support and handle complex escalations with high accountability.
. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
. Participate in change management cycles to minimize operational downtime.
. Partner with DBAs to resolve database-related issues (schema, tuning, performance).
. Collaborate with OS, infrastructure, network, and security teams on cross-domain issues.
. Support application teams to ensure system integration and performance.
. Contribute to SAP projects, migrations, and enhancement initiatives.
. Maintain documentation for configurations, operational procedures, and SOPs.

Requirements

. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
. Proven experience in SAP Basis administration within enterprise environments.
. Strong knowledge of SAP architecture, components, and integrations.
. Hands-on experience with Oracle, HANA, SQL Server, and Linux/Windows OS platforms.
. Minimum of 5+ years of relevant IT operations or support experience.
. Experience working in ITIL-driven environments ITIL Foundation certification preferred.

Preferred Skills & Certifications

. Experience with SAP HANA and cloud-hosted SAP environments.
. SAP Basis Certification or equivalent credentials.
. Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., SAP Solution Manager, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana).
. Exposure to high availability, DR, and clustering solutions for SAP workloads.
