SAP BW/4HANA & BOBJ WebI Developer

Job Description

. We are seeking an experienced SAP BW/4HANA & BOBJ WebI Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise data models and reporting solutions.

. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in BW/4HANA data modeling, BEx queries, and Web Intelligence reporting, along with hands-on experience in ABAP and data integration frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

. Data Modeling & Development: Design and develop SAP BW/4HANA data models including ADSOs, Composite Providers, Open ODS Views, and InfoObjects

. Build and enhance data extraction frameworks using CDS-ODP and standard BW extractors

. Develop and optimize BW/BEx queries with complex calculations, variables, and performance tuning

. Reporting & Analytics: Develop and optimize SAP BOBJ Web Intelligence (WebI) reports

. Ensure reports meet performance, usability, and business requirements

. Data Integration & Processing: Develop data transformations using BW transformations and routines (Start/End/Field)

. Work with AMDP and ABAP-based routines where applicable

. Manage data loading processes including DTPs, delta mechanisms, and error handling

. Design and maintain process chains for scheduling and automation ABAP

. Development: Develop ABAP objects including routines, customer exits, BADIs, function modules, and DTP filter routines

. Operations & Support: Perform data reconciliation and ensure consistency across systems

. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data loads, transformations, and reporting

. Support testing phases (Unit, SIT, UAT) and production deployments

. Collaboration & Governance: Collaborate with functional teams to gather and translate requirements

. Ensure implementation of data governance, security, and authorization concepts

. Participate in BW/4HANA migration activities, including system conversion and performance tuning

Required Skills & Qualifications

. Strong experience in SAP BW/4HANA data modeling and development

. Hands-on experience with BEx Queries and BOBJ Web Intelligence (WebI)

. Strong knowledge of ABAP in BW (routines, BADIs, enhancements)

. Experience with data extraction frameworks (CDS-ODP, BW extractors)

. Expertise in DTPs, process chains, and data loading mechanisms

. Good understanding of performance optimization and troubleshooting

. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

. Experience in BW/4HANA migration projects

. Knowledge of SAP data governance and security concepts

. Familiarity with SAP HANA optimization techniques

. Exposure to Agile methodologies
