SAP Basis / TA-Basis Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Install and configure SAP applications and the NetWeaver Suite of products.
• Manage system copies, upgrades, migrations, and patching across SAP landscapes.
• Administer SAP Transport Management System (TMS) for changes and deployments.
• Ensure high availability, backup, and disaster recovery of SAP systems.
• Monitor system health using SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) and other monitoring tools.
• Perform Oracle Database administration (tablespace management, resizing, reorganization, and patching).
• Apply SAP OSS notes, kernel patches, support packages, add-ons, and component upgrades.
• Implement and enforce security standards including role-based access controls (RBAC), SSO integration, and secure file transfers.
• Document best practices, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Identify and resolve system performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with SAP, partners, and customer teams to ensure project success.
• Continuously enhance skills and contribute to process improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of SAP Basis experience with installations, upgrades, and monitoring.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of SAP ECC, BW, BI, and Fiori.
• Expertise in SAP NetWeaver Suite on Windows/Unix platforms with Oracle or other databases.
• Hands-on experience with SAP TMS.
• Strong understanding of SAP authentication, security, and integrations.
• Performance testing knowledge (LoadRunner) is a plus.
• SAP Basis and OS/DB certifications (preferred).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Knowledge of cloud-based SAP hosting (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Exposure to Agile/DevOps methodologies.
