SAP BASIS Consultant

Job Summary

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical SAP Basis Administrator to join our team in Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our SAP system landscape to ensure seamless operations and maximum system availability. You will work closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to provide technical support and implement system improvements that drive organizational efficiency.

• Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems across multiple environments (development, quality assurance, and production)
• Manage user access controls, security protocols, and system authorizations to ensure data integrity and compliance
• Monitor system performance, analyze bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to enhance efficiency
• Execute regular backup and disaster recovery procedures, ensuring business continuity and data protection
• Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and maintenance windows with minimal downtime
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolutions to support end-users and business operations
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and system configurations for audit and compliance purposes
• Collaborate with database administrators and infrastructure teams to ensure system stability and security
• Analyze system logs and performance metrics to identify trends and recommend preventive measures
• Support SAP system migrations and landscape changes as required by the organization

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a SAP Basis Administrator
• Strong knowledge of SAP system architecture and landscape management
• Proficiency in database administration (Oracle, SQL Server, or similar platforms)
• Solid understanding of operating systems (Linux and Windows Server environments)
• Experience with backup and recovery tools and disaster recovery procedures
• Demonstrated ability to analyze system performance and optimize configurations
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP HANA systems and in-memory computing
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and hybrid system environments
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell, or similar)
• Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager and system monitoring tools
• Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements
• Experience with system migrations and landscape consolidation projects
