SAP Development focuses on designing, building, and maintaining software solutions that enhance and optimize critical business processes. As part of this team, the SAP Application Engineer contributes to the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions by applying advanced technologies and engineering best practices. Description
The SAP Application Engineer plays a pivotal role in designing and delivering high-quality enterprise solutions by participating in architectural discussions, developing scalable technical frameworks, and aligning solutions with business and technology strategies. The role requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented approach; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; adaptability in a fast-paced environment; and the ability to proactively learn and apply emerging technologies to enhance solution delivery. The ideal candidate takes ownership of driving timely, efficient, and high-quality solutions while partnering effectively with global, cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to architecture review sessions and support the design of scalable, secure, and high-performance SAP solutions.
- Develop reusable, flexible technical frameworks that support long-term enterprise needs.
- Deliver robust SAP solutions within tight timelines while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
- Drive issue resolution across teams through strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proactively explore, evaluate, and adopt new technologies and development frameworks.
- Acquire new skills quickly and apply them to enhance solution design and implementation.
- Manage multiple concurrent tasks and initiatives, adapting effectively to evolving priorities.
- Collaborate and communicate clearly with distributed, multi-regional teams and stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
- In-depth ABAP development experience in RICEFW, OData service, REST/SOAP-based API design and integration.
- In-depth experience working with S/4 HANA, CDS views, AMDP, and RAP.
- In-depth experience in performance tuning of HANA models.
- MS/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a developer-at-heart attitude.
- Knowledge of software engineering practices and standard methodologies for the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and deployment.
- Knowledge of SAP technologies/frameworks such as SAPUI5, Fiori, and CAP is a plus.
- Knowledge of the SAP Business Technology Platform and Services is a plus.
