About the Job

  • Provide specialized legal and regulatory guidance on complex international sanctions frameworks across the Asia Pacific region.

  • Evaluate corporate transactions, client profiles, and business initiatives to identify and mitigate potential regulatory risks.

  • Draft, update, and implement robust compliance policies and internal controls reflecting current legal standards.

  • Investigate potential sanctions violations, draft voluntary self-disclosures, and manage regulatory reporting requirements.

  • Deliver targeted legal updates and compliance training to senior stakeholders and operational business units.

  • Liaise with external legal counsel and regulatory bodies on cross-border enforcement trends and compliance inquiries.

  • Oversee administrative compliance workflows, including audit preparations, regulatory filing documentation, and internal approvals.

Skills and Requirements

  • A recognized legal degree (LL.B., JD, or equivalent) with a strong background in corporate law or financial regulation.

  • Proven professional experience focusing on international sanctions programs, trade controls, or regulatory compliance.

  • Deep analytical capabilities to interpret complex statutory language and apply it to operational business contexts.

  • Excellent written communication skills for drafting legal assessments, compliance policies, and regulatory correspondence.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to provide clear, legally sound risk advice to business leaders.
