Sales Trader

Job Description & Requirements

Gaia Environment specialises in providing sustainability solutions to the organisations.

We are looking for a sales trader to join our team!

The sales trader will co-develop and manage business relations regionally and globally with our business partners to bring in sales. Your duties will include providing support in purchasing & sourcing carbon credits, Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) and other environmental attributes.

Ideally, you should have knowledge of carbon credit & REC markets.

The position requires communication, business development skills, networking skills and a functional understanding of sustainability and the carbon and REC markets.

Main Responsibilities

• Developing and expanding the company's portfolio of carbon credits, RECs and other environmental attributes.
• Support in the purchase and sale of carbon credits and RECs.
• Conducting market research. Identify market trend and new business opportunities.
• Supporting operations in the Company's sustainability business.
• Conducting deliveries, retirements, and issuance of carbon credits, RECs and other environmental attributes.

Requirements

• Based in Singapore
• Holds a University Degree. Degree in Economics, Business, Finance, or with relevance to Sustainability will be advantageous.
• Competent at Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Independent and self-motivated
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

. Meticulous and have a good attention to details

• Have excellent communications skills in verbal and written English. (Fluency in other languages as well would be advantageous).
• Experience in environmental attribute trading is preferred.
