Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Sales & Technical Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in laser and automation machinery, coupled with excellent communication and sales abilities. This dual-role position is crucial for driving sales growth by providing expert technical support, conducting product demonstrations, and building strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities

Technical Support & Engineering

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to our laser and automation machines.
  • Provide pre-sales technical support, including product specifications, application feasibility, and system integration.
  • Provide effective on-site technical support, be stationed on-site for project verification, actively provide feedback on problems encountered during verification
  • Close and resolve on-site verification problems in a timely manner to ensure the smooth progress and acceptance of projects.
  • Training in China and subsequent business trips to India to complete the commissioning and acceptance of projects in different countries.
  • Provide effective on-site technical support, be stationed on-site for project verification, actively provide feedback on problems encountered during verification
  • Close and resolve on-site verification problems in a timely manner to ensure the smooth progress and acceptance of projects.
  • Training in China and subsequent business trips to India to complete the commissioning and acceptance of projects in different countries.

Sales & Business Development

  • Actively identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the assigned market segment.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their technical needs and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Conduct sales/ technical presentations and product demonstrations for prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales deals to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and market analysis to management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics preferred) or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a technical sales, field service, Electronics, IT or semi-con industry, specifically with laser technology and automation systems.
  • Deep understanding of laser types, their applications, and associated safety protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and repair complex technical issues.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a sales pipeline, negotiate effectively, and close deals.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites for support, training, and sales activities. (50% of time)
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Fluency in Chinese is a plus
