Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with the Sales organization, engineering, and project management teams throughout the proposal process for electric motor solutions. Each day, you will translate customer requirements and technical specifications into accurate, competitive, and commercially viable proposals that align with industry standards and organizational objectives. You will also act as a key technical resource during customer engagements, supporting negotiations and presentations while ensuring full compliance with ABB policies, pricing strategies, and contractual obligations.

The work model for the role is Hybrid #LI-Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Motion Business Area / Motors & Generators Sales Team in Singapore.
Main stakeholders include Sales teams, engineering teams, project management, global Sales Specialists, and customers.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Developing and preparing detailed technical and commercial proposals and quotations for electric motor solutions in collaboration with Sales and engineering teams.

  • Interpreting customer requirements and industry standards to deliver compliant, cost‑effective, and customer‑focused offers, including cost estimates, delivery schedules, and required documentation.

  • Supporting Sales during customer negotiations, technical meetings, and product presentations, ensuring alignment with ABB pricing strategies and contractual obligations.

  • Ensuring adherence to ABB policies, risk and compliance requirements, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards in all proposal and sales support activities.

You will join a collaborative, engineering technology savvy, and customer‑focused team within the Motion Services division, where cross‑functional teamwork and continuous improvement are key to success.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or any related engineering discipline.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales support, proposal engineering, or a similar technical support role.

  • Strong ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into accurate technical and commercial proposals.

  • Proficiency in proposal tools, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Solid analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with a strong attention to detail.

  • Customer‑focused mindset with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Fluent in English and Chinese, both written and spoken, and eligible to work in job location.
