Job Description

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Hyphens Consumer retail business, supervising and coordinating a team of merchandisers to ensure effective in-store product display, stock availability, and execution of trade promotions across retail outlets. The role ensures merchandising standards are consistently implemented, supports sales objectives, and maintains strong relationships with retail partners.

Key Responsibilities

1. Merchandising Team Supervision

  • Lead, supervise, and manage a team of merchandisers across assigned retail outlets.
  • Plan monthly and daily routes and schedules to ensure sufficient store coverage.
  • Monitor team performance and provide guidance to ensure merchandising standards are met.
  • Conduct regular field visits to support and coach merchandisers.

2. In-Store Execution

  • Ensure proper product placement on home shelf and secondary displays and planogram compliance in retail stores.
  • Monitor product availability and minimize out-of-stock situations.
  • Ensure promotional displays, point-of-sale materials, and campaign activities are properly implemented.

3. Retail Relationship Management

  • Maintain good working relationships with store managers and retail staff.
  • Address store-level operational issues related to product display, stock replenishment, and promotions.

4. Inventory & Replenishment Coordination

  • Work with the team of merchandisers to monitor stock levels in stores and influence stores managers and retail staff on stocks ordering to prevent OOS

5. Reporting & Performance Monitoring

  • Track merchandising set up activities and store coverage reports.
  • Monitor merchandising KPIs such as OSA report and provide monthly updates to management.
  • Monitor key competitors activities in retail outlets, including pricing, promotions, product launches, and merchandising strategies, and report key insights to management.
  • Analyse on ground activities and recommend improvements to merchandising strategies.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience managing modern trade or pharmacy accounts.
  • Familiarity with planograms, retail merchandising standards, and promotional execution.
  • Good analytical and reporting skills (Excel proficiency preferred).
