Sales Supervisor - Roles & Responsibilities
Position Purpose
Supervise and support the sales team to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
Ensure effective execution of sales strategies, customer service standards, and company policies.
Act as a key liaison between sales staff and management to drive performance and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Operations & Performance
Supervise daily sales activities to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
Assign sales territories, schedules, and targets to sales team members.
Monitor individual and team sales performance and provide regular feedback and coaching.
Assist in developing and implementing sales plans, promotions, and campaigns.
2. Team Supervision & Development
Lead, motivate, and coach sales staff to improve productivity and sales effectiveness.
Conduct induction and on-the-job training for new sales staff.
Support performance appraisals and implement performance improvement plans where necessary.
Handle minor disciplinary issues and escalate complex matters to management.
3. Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and business partners.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations in a professional and timely manner.
Ensure consistently high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
4. Reporting & Administration
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance reports.
Analyze sales data, forecasts, and market trends to support business planning.
Ensure accurate documentation of sales transactions, contracts, and customer records.
5. Compliance & Coordination
Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and legal requirements.
Coordinate closely with marketing, operations, and finance teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
Monitor inventory levels in coordination with relevant departments to support sales demand.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in any related field.
Proven experience in sales or a supervisory role.
Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to analyze sales data and prepare reports.
Customer-focused with a results-driven mindset.
