Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic professional to lead specification-driven initiatives within the HVAC sector. This role focuses on influencing consultant specifications and securing product inclusion in tender documents for major building projects. You will work closely with M&E consultants, design firms, and relevant government authorities, providing technical expertise and ensuring compliance with energy efficiency and sustainability standards.

This role will not focus on direct selling of HVAC solutions; instead, it will concentrate on engaging M&E consultants and government authorities to drive specification (spec-in) initiatives

Level considered: Senior Sales Engineer / Sales Manager / Senior Sales Manager

Location: Singapore

Key Responsibilities

Specification Leadership

  • Drive inclusion of HVAC solutions in consultant specifications and tender documents for new builds and retrofit projects.
  • Ensure technical compliance and alignment with project requirements and regulatory standards.

Consultant & Authority Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with M&E consultants, design firms, and government authorities to position products as preferred solutions.
  • Conduct technical consultations and provide advisory support during design and tender phases.

Technical Advocacy

  • Deliver technical presentations, training sessions, and Lunch & Learn programs to consultants and decision-makers.
  • Promote energy-efficient HVAC technologies and sustainability benefits.

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor upcoming projects, regulatory changes, and industry trends to identify specification opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely technical documentation and compliance submissions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in HVAC or building services, with a strong track record in specification work and consultant engagement.
  • Deep understanding of HVAC systems, ventilation design, and energy efficiency standards.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, tender documents, and project specifications.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Preferred: Green Mark Professional, LEED AP, or Certified Energy Manager (CEM).
